I got to take Audrey and Jane with me to work on “Take your Daughter to Work Day” and they had a blast. Russell Creative did an amazing job at making my daughters feel like part of the team. When the girls showed up in the morning, Russell Creative had printed out business cards with their names and titles. Audrey was “Social Media Ninja” and Jane was “Creative Unicorn”.
As part of “Take your Daughter to Work Day,” we wanted to give the girls a job to help them understand what our agency does while at work. They were assigned to research social media holidays/events for the coming month and create a post. They gathered about 30 different holidays and then presented those ideas to the whole office (using powerpoint). The team narrowed down the list until each girl had one event to begin sketching out ideas on how to execute it. With a few sketches and hashtag ideas, each girl meet with me (the art director) and a copywriter. This way they learned to collaborate to find the best concept. Here are the different posts they created.
